Legislation: Plan and pursue ideas for state legislation in the best interests of the public and the Council.
Chair:
Jim Pitkin
Education: Plan, promote, and implement formal surveying educational programs. Function with respect to the UCLS scholarship process as directed by the State Board.

Publication: Prepare and mail newsletters and other announcements to the general membership.

Workshop and Convention: Plan, prepare, and promote workshops, seminars, and State Conventions.

Standards and Ethics: Review and act on all complaints from surveyors and the general public involving surveying or surveyors' ethics. Prepare and maintain a Standards of Practice Manual.

Testing: Monitor and improve application and testing practices as they affect the licensing of Land Surveyors. Review complaints by surveying applicants in regard to the licensing process.

Public Relations: Plan and pursue methods for improving the public image of the surveyor and the practice of land surveying.

Historical: Protect, collect, acquire, and preserve the history and artifacts of UCLS and the land surveying profession for display, reference, and educational purposes; establish a repository of records for land surveyors; create a survey reference library for its membership; collect and maintain a digital and written history of UCLS and the surveying profession.
Chair:
Scott Peterson
Membership: Evaluate, implement, and promote the benefits of UCLS membership including: maintain a current membership roster; recognition of achievements and event; standardization of continuing education units; recruitment of qualified candidates for leadership positions; conducting the oath of office for new officers; and generation of periodic salary and benefits comparison.

Construction Survey:The principal duties of the Construction Survey Committee shall be to educate members, evaluate, implement and promote construction survey standards.
